Humanitarian exhibition of the artistic photos “My beloved Belgrade” by the author Vladimir Vasić was opened on Tuesday, March the 12th 2013 in the congress hall of the municipal building of Voždovac. Money collected by selling works was intended for helping children with special needs from the Special education and rehabilitation centre for children under the age of seven.
The exhibition was ceremoniously opened by the president of the municipality Voždovac, dr. Dragan Vukanić who praised the artist’s talent to depict the most memorable parts of the city and he invited all the visitors to see how Belgrade looked like through his eyes and lenses of his camera. Doctor Kristiane Kull Sadacharam from Munich clinic for children with development disorders was the special guest of the evening. “Bluz Azul” band completed the event by playing Fado music.
The collection “My beloved Belgrade” is the result of many years’ work and love of the author towards the photography as means of expressing and his impressions of architectural buildings and city oasis. Within the focus of his photos there were historical and urban symbols of Belgrade – Belgrade fortress, confluence of Danube and Sava, Avala tower, Gardoš, St. Sava temple, bridge on Ada and other significant buildings which are unique because of their colors and rich details. Photos were made in digital printing on the photo canvas. The exhibition in the municipality of Voždovac was opened until March the 24th.
Leonardy studio and the Tourist Organization of Belgrade, on 15 December 2011 at 8.00pm in Belgrade Department Store (Knez Mihailova 5), organized a charity photo exhibition "My Beloved Belgrade" by Vladimir Vasic. The aim of the exhibition was to help children with disabilities and, by sale, raise funds for their rehabilitation and education. The Exhibition "My Beloved Belgrade" by Vladimir Vasic is the outcome of many years of the author's work and love for photography, as for a medium of expression and impressions on representative buildings of architectural and urban oases. Historical and urban symbols of Belgrade, being the focus of images, Belgrade Fortress, Estuary, Avala Tower, Gardos, Courts and others, in symbiosis with the artistic vision and the latest photographic equipment, represent work unique in colors, richness of detail expressed plasticity, sense of spaciousness and light dynamics. The author's wish has been to present the best parts of the old and new Belgrade, stressing the continuity of the urban center - his formation and continued existence. At the opening ceremony the participants were addressed by Dejan Veselinov, director of the Tourist Organization of Belgrade and Vladimir Vasic, author of the exhibition and the founder of Leonardy studio.
